Tattoo Coverup

What is a Tattoo Cover-up

This is done when clients are either embarrassed or unhappy with their existing tattoo.
Tattoo Cover-up is a special ability to do another tattoo on top of an existing tattoo.
The new tattoo should be positioned and executed in a way to best hide the tattoo it is covering.
None of the old tattoo should be visible and the new tattoo should be beautiful.
Understanding Scar Camouflage
Covering your scar with a flesh-pigmented tattoo can be referred to by many names, including scar camouflage, corrective pigment camouflage, and skin col-or tattooing just to name a few, but the most common term is scar camouflage.

This is considered a non-surgical medical procedure where a needle is inserted into the scar and deposits inks that resemble the pigment of your skin. Since skin isn’t just one solid colour, the technician uses a pointillism technique to mix and match skin tones to add variety to the skin, masking the scar. Corrective pigmentation can be used on a variety of patients, including those with scars and burns, as well as on patients with skin pigmentation disorders and stretch marks.

Choosing a good Cover-up Tattoo Artist

Simple answer is no. We judge this on a case on case situation.
However, we’ve had cases whereby other artists convinced clients that a cover-up was not possible, yet we’ve done a successful job in covering it. Case in point is the Leopard in our example.
