What is Virtual Areola & Tattooing

If you are one of many unfortunate people to have had their areola or nipples removed during surgery, then you might be interested in this process. This is the process of emulating the Areola or nipple by doing a realistic tattoo on the breast.
Advantages

  • See what your areolas would look like in 30 min with this new software
  • Be part of the decision making
  • You decide on positioning, pigmentation (colour) and sizing.
On approval the client will be printed a final digital print of the superimposed areolas onto their breasts.  They can take home the print to discuss with their loved ones. They are your breasts and you tell us what you would prefer.

WHY

You may be looking for the full 3D nipple and areola treatment, If you’ve had breast cancer.
One might want to enhance your natural areola, or camouflage scarring after cosmetic surgery?
There a 3 phases to the process

Phase 1

Consultation
This is done in our studio on an one-on-one basis. We chat to the client to get to understand what the client would like over a cup of coffee. We explain the step-by-step process for their clarity.
When the client is comfortable with the process we proceed by examining the surgical area.
A photo is taken of the clients’ chest which is then uploaded into our special software.
We present digital samples of areolas which are superimposed on their chest and presented to them over our TV
Client decides on:
  • A Coloration
    • The CMYK break-down is developed.
    • Pigmentations are mixed to achieved the desired results.
  • B Dimensions
    • Photo-editing is utilised to achieve the desired dimension. A stencil will be developed
  • C Positioning
    • Markers will be used to ensure accurate placement.

Phase 2

Tattoo Process
Colour mixing is paramount to achieving the correct tones for the areola. Several tones will be developed based on the CMYK % breakdown. As an artist would do we are required to achieve emulated highlights, midtones and shadows to develop the illusion of 3D.

Phase 3

Aftercare
The aftercare process is just as important as the tattooing process if not more.
Infection should be avoided by all costs. We supply the client with aftercare products that would reduce the causes of infection and ink loss. We do encourage the client to return so we can examine the tattoo and to confirm if a retouch is required. A retouch is when ink is lost during the healing process and is quite normal.
